How to Pay
Online
- Log on to https://mavc.gov.mt/programme/apply
- Search the course you would like to apply for and Click ‘Apply’,
- Fill in the required details, then ‘SUBMIT’.
- Next, you will be asked to pay (if applicable) using your Debit Card or Credit Card.
If you do not have internet at
home, you can enquire at Local Councils that offer this service. Online
applications are preferable since they are processed immediately.
If you choose this method of application, you may ONLY pay by credit/Debit Card. Applications sent by post or fax will not be accepted.
In Person
Applicants choosing to pay either by cheque or cash may avail themselves from any branch of servizz.gov, One-Stop-Shop as indicated hereunder.
Freephone 153 provide services from Monday to Friday from 08:00hrs till 16:00hrs

Registration Rights
Kindly note the following Terms
& Conditions:
- The registration payment (where applicable) is indicated in each Course Group section.
- For a class to be formed, a minimum number of students must register and pay the fees.
- Generally, the minimum amount of participants per class is 10. However, the College Principal reserves the right to change this number for a particular subject due to exigencies of particular subject.
- Classes that have fewer students throughout the year may be joined to ensure a sustainable service.
- It is preferable to apply online to ensure immediate registration.
- Individuals from foreign countries have to present their legal documentation. One may not request a visa for a long stay on the pretence of applying for any of these courses.
Payment
The payment for applicants is as
follows:
Applicants who are:
- Citizens
of Malta; or
- Citizens
of other Member States of the European Union who are entitled to equal
treatment to Maltese citizens in matter of employment by virtue of EU
legislation and treaty provisions dealing with the free movement of workers; or
- Citizens
of any other country who are entitled to equal treatment to Maltese citizens in
matters related to employment by virtue of the application to that country of
EU legislation and treaty provisions dealing with the free movement of workers;
or
- Any
other persons who are entitled to equal treatment to Maltese citizens in
matters related to employment in terms of the law or the above-mentioned EU
legislation and treaty provisions, on account of their family relationship with
persons mentioned in paragraph (a), (b) or (c); or
- Third
country nationals who have been granted long-term resident status in Malta
under regulation 4 of the ‘Status of Long-Term Residents (Third Country
Nationals) Regulations, 2006’ or who have been granted a residence permit under
regulation 18 (3) thereof, together with family members of such third country
nationals who have been granted a residence permit under the Family
Reunification Regulations, 2007.
Will pay the following fees:
Short courses (14 weeks or less) | €18.63 |
Courses of approximately 32 weeks | €34.94 |
Courses that lead to the Intermediate level and/or advanced or Level 4 | €46.59 |
Applicants
who do not fall into any of the above categories will need to pay double the
amount indicated. For instance, for
Short Courses, the payment due would
be €37.26.
Once
you have made your payment, please keep a printed copy of your receipt to show
to the tutor on the first day of attendance of each course. Learners will not
be allowed to attend the course without the receipt.
There will be no changes to the registration of courses after payment is made, except in the case of courses that have to be cancelled.
Payment Exemptions
The following are exempted from payment:
- Children under 16 years of age.
- Those in possession of the Senior Citizens Card (KartAnzjan) do not pay for their first course (however all subsequent courses applied for during the scholastic year 2018-2019 will need to be paid for).
- Applicants, who due to social reasons, declare that they cannot afford the relevant fee, have to apply in person and not through the online service. They will then need to fill in and sign the necessary form, which is to be verified and approved by the College Principal after consultation with the Department of Social Services.
- Applicants who feel they are entitled to payment exemption require permission to be issued by the appropriate Board within the Ministry for Education and Employment. This exemption has to be obtained before the course commences, otherwise payment will be required. If the exemption is received after the payment is made, the applicant will be entitled to a refund. Applicants will need to acquire this Exemption Form and apply at the Ministry’s Board.
Calendar
Most courses start at the
beginning of October and finish towards the end of May. Most have a duration of approximately 32
weeks, with other shorter courses lasting a maximum of 14 weeks. Further details regarding specific courses
are indicated within the schedules of this information booklet.
No lessons are held on public
holidays or on scholastic holidays.
Academic year holidays are as follows:
1-5 November | 21-31 December | 1-6 January | 22-25 February | 8-18 April |
Courses may be postponed or cancelled at the discretion of the College Principal.
Please note that
Once your registration is
accepted, you will need to follow the regulations issued by the Visual and
Performance Arts Schools.
- Applicants
can only apply for one course/level in each subject.
- Failure to comply with these rules could lead to
you being asked to discontinue a course without the right for you to receive a
refund of the payment for your registration.
- Anyone who is found attending a course without
having paid will be asked to leave, even if the participant is then ready to
pay for the course.
- The College Principal does not assume
responsibility if an educator terminates his/her service. The College Principal will, however, take all
the necessary measures needed to secure a replacement as soon as possible.
- Unless otherwise indicated, participants are
reminded that the lessons will be delivered in Maltese or English.
- Every effort will be made to give precise
information about each course, however The College Principal is not responsible
for any mistakes or missing information.
- The College Principal reserves the right to make
changes to the timetables depending on the number of applicants.
