Aims & Ethos At The Gozo Visual & Performing Arts School, we strive to unlock the potential of each and every individual through the provision of quality education. We seek to create an open and creative community of learners where all are valued and supported to the fullest extent. The school aims to provide an educational environment which encourages students to become confident, competent and successful members of society, fully prepared for life in the art world. Our values are directly linked to the ART of learning, i.e. Aspiration, Respect and Togetherness. Our school values the development of skills and knowledge that will enable all students to meet their aspirations in the arts. This is borne out of mutual respect for oneself and the others. The development of collaboration and cooperation the school constantly works to attain, builds a sense of togetherness and team spirit. We believe that: – the school shall be a lively, thriving and dynamic centre of creativity – it shall nurture and support students in a stimulating learning environment to develop the students’ artistic experiences – learning shall be about passion and ambition with quality at its epicenter – we shall work to build good relationships within and beyond the school walls The Gozo Visual & Performing Arts School Mission Statement The fundamental aim of our school is to make visual and performing arts a meaningful and gratifying experience, accessible to all students of all ages, creating lifelong learners. Through planned curricula, we provide various channels of self-expression whilst nurturing our students to produce work of true quality. We teach a wide range of Visual & Performing Arts courses related to the four main disciplines of Art, Music, Drama and Dance. We cater for students who would like to improve their skills and abilities from beginners to advance, with the possibility to take on national and/or international examinations for specific subjects.
